Here is one our favourites christmas songs this year: "" Feliz Navidad!"
In America there is a strong influence of mexican music - and that's why this song is so popular there. Besides, it's a catchy tune - you learn it very quickly.

Holidays!
Dear All
The end of the school year brings a time to reflect on lessons learned, both by students and teachers.
The end of the school year brings a time to reflect on lessons learned, both by students and teachers.
This was a great experience for me, and you, E1, were by far the best group that I’ve ever worked with. You did so well, you achieved so much! And it was so much fun!
Now it’s time to take a break and enjoy the summer holidays. But don’t forget to practice English. It's important, so you don't forget what you learned. You can read books, go through the Incredible English book, re-visit the activities within the blog, sing along with the music CDs…
And have a nice time – you surely deserve it!
Love,
Miss Inês.

CDs
Hello!
Remember the songs from Kindergarten?
Remember this year's songs?
If you want to keep them forever, bring in two CDs. I'll be happy to record them for you.

E1 in an European competition - next year!!!!
We decided that the St. George Trilogy will be postponed for next years's competition. Unfortunately not everyone was at ease with the lines and we had the 3r term test coming up, so...
Nonetheless, we'll keep on working on the 3 plays and probably record them on video, for practice.
Next year everyone will be "older and wiser", and more at ease with being an actor/actress.

We need a kitchen cloth or a dish mat. And a file...
Dear Parents, the sun is shining, the temperature is warm, we're all full of energy and stamina - a classroom just isn't enough. It's time to play some vocabulary games outside.
Of course, outdoors activities require some control, and with such energetic students some "tools" are needed.
So, each child should bring a kitchen cloth or one of those mats that go under the dishes.
These will do excellent seats, as well as place markers and game aids. You really don't need to go and buy them new - any that you have at home and can spare will be OK.
Another thing that we need is a ring file - a dossier. Not too thin, not too thick , A4 size. For our dictionaries. These files will be used throughout the whole 1º ciclo. Please bring them in as soon as possible. Decorate it with your child - they sure like to personalize their materials, and it's a good way to identify what belongs to whom.
Thank you!

Workbook to download
Dear Parents
As you know, this is the first time that reading/writing is being implemented in a 1st Class.
To complement those skills (along with the Incredible English books) there is a good workbook that can be downloaded from the Internet.
The book is called “Reading & Writing Journal – level 1” and has 96 pages in black and white.

Do you like magic beans?
Hello everyone, and welcome back. We hope you had a nice Easter holiday. You probably had a lot of chocolate, but have you tried "magic beans" like these ones?
Magic beans, magic beans... makes me wonder... I know a story about magic beans... Can you guess what story this is?
Here is a link for you to get acquainted with the next story that we'll be working on. First of all just listen to the story. Then you can try and "read" it: under the pictures you can find the words. Can you recognize some of the words as you listen? Try!
Oh, and there is a little game you can play too. Have fun!
